Work in the 2025 Local
Government Elections

What's happening?

This October New Zealanders will vote in the 2025 local authority elections, voting on the issues that are important to them, their whanāu, communities and businesses as we look towards a resilient and innovative future.

In New Zealand, all local body elections are held by postal vote. We need YOU to be a part of the vision to make Aotearoa the most active and inclusive local democracy in the world.

What will I be doing?

We are recruiting for people to join either our Vote Processing or Mailroom Sorting teams. You’ll be working in a Grade-A central Auckland location to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of postal votes cast from all over New Zealand.

Duties will include mail sorting, scrutiny, batching, extraction, validation, approvals, scanning, reconciliations and recounts. You will need to be able to start shifts at 6am for Mailroom or at 8am for the Vote Processing Centre.
